Rainbow over gravel

One of the most interesting sporting objectives of the year for Alejandro Valverde has arrived, a unique experience where many of the best cyclists on the international scene will once again be measured in the fight for a world title in the Gravel discipline.

The second edition of the UCI Gravel World Championships will be held this Sunday, October 8 in the Italian region of Veneto, on a demanding route of 169 kilometers and almost 2,000 meters of elevation gain.

Alejandro will once again wear the Spanish National Team jersey as part of a powerful and heterogeneous team that also includes the road professional Iván García Cortina, mountain bike specialists such as Sergio Mantecón or former road companions, today focused on new disciplines, such as Alberto Losada. In the same way, Ferran Robert will be part of the game, with a past experience in the elite and sub-23 Valverde Team-Ricardo Fuentes structure.
