Stop in Volta a Catalunya

Stop in Volta a Catalunya

Alejandro Valverde will not miss in his farewell season one of the races where he has accumulated the best results and performances over the years. Starting next Monday, El Bala says goodbye to the historic Volta a Catalunya, a World Tour event that he has won three times (2009, 2017 and 2018), achieving up to nine stage wins, the last one at La Molina Station against Egan Bernal and Nairo Quintana.

After his fantastic start to the season; adding victories in the Trofeo Pollença and the general and a stage of O Gran Camiño as well as a meritorious second place in Strade Bianche, Valverde arrives to Catalonia prepared to face a first level participation and a route that will be solved in the stages on Wednesday (La Molina) and Thursday (Boi Taüll) before the always nervous finish on Sunday in Montjuic.

The race can be followed live in Spain through different platforms: Eurosport, GCN, Teledporte and Esport 3 in Catalonia.
