Destiny Tour de France
One more year, Alejandro Valverde is preparing to participate in the most important stage event of the cycling calendar. The Movistar Team rider begins this Saturday in Brest his 14th Tour de France, where he debuted in 2005. Since then he has added four stage victories, has worn the yellow leader’s jersey and has achieved an important podium in the 2015 edition.
21 stages that begin with three nervous days in Brittany, highlighting the end of Sunday in the Mur de Bretagne, and that will have their first important day for the General Classification on Wednesday, in the individual time trial of 27 km in Laval. Some contained Alps will give way to a double pass through Mont Ventoux before facing the resolution of the Tour in the Pyrenees (finals in Andorra, Portet and Luz Ardiden) and the definitive time trial of Saint-Émilion and its 30 km.
Valverde is part of a powerful and balanced Movistar Team where the Colombian Miguel Ángel López and Enric Mas stand out. Along with them, Marc Soler, Carlos Verona, Imanol Erviti, Iván García Cortina and Jorge Arcas.
