Critérium du Dauphiné

Critérium du Dauphiné

The multiple changes in the 2020 calendar have not changed the status of a race as important as the Critérium du Dauphiné, which appears as the final test just over two weeks from the start of the Tour de France.

Five stages, all with a relevant weight from the mountains, which will begin on Wednesday with the one that seems “easier”: more than 200 kilometers with seven climbs and an uphill finish. From there, arriving at Col de Porte on Thursday, another final up in Saint-Martin-De-Belleville and double finish line in Megève for Saturday and Sunday, a not excessively hard climb but that the cyclists will face after a lot of ports.

Alejandro Valverde backs to a race that he knows well from his successes in 2008 and 2009, although since then he has only participated in two other editions. On this occasion, he is lined up in a Movistar Team that will also include Enric Mas, Nelson Oliveira, Marc Soler, Carlos Verona, Antonio Pedrero and José Joaquín Rojas.
