Alejandro Valverde returns to the races
More than six months after his fall in the first stage of the Tour de France, Alejandro Valverde returns to the competition this week in the Challenge of Majorca, the first race of the season on European soil. The Murcian cyclist returns full of illusion, after a period of recovery that started as soon as he left the operating room of the Dusseldorf Hospital (Germany). Valverde has destroyed all the forecasts thanks to his attitude and his hard-working.
The most expected moment has arrived. Valverde will feel the thrilll of racing again at the Challenge of Mallorca, that is held from this Thursday until next Sunday. As usual, the riders are able to choose the events where they take part as they are four independent trophies for the UCI.
Thursday 25th: Campos Trophy
Friday 26th: Serra de Tramuntana Trophy (six mountain climbs).
Saturday 27th: Lloseta Trophy
Sunday 28th: Playa de Palma Trophy
Eight cyclists of Movistar Team are joining Alejandro in his first test of 2018: José Joaquín Rojas, Daniele Bennati, Jorge Arcas, Andrei Amador, Carlos Barbero, Imanol Erviti, Héctor Carretero and the signing Jaime Rosón.
