Valverde completes a smooth Tirreno-Adriatico

Without any choice in the general after the cancellation due to bad weather of the only high mountain stage of the race, Alejandro Valverde finished satisfied his second participation in Tirreno-Adriatico: “I’m leaving happy: it was a race of good preparation and we look optimism the next targets”.

However, the Movistar Team rider has left flashes throughout this week of competition, as the fifth in the second stage with end in Pomarance, or the sixth in Cepagatti;  where the peloton broke in the penultimate lap with three consecutive attacks seeking to reach a group of escapees with Stybar, Sagan, Van Avermaet or Kwiatkowski.

More than the 18th place, Valverde keeps the good feelings and the week of quality work in Tirreno-Adriatico, kilometers which will surely serve to achieve future goals in the next competitions of a season full of great challenges.
