Alejandro Valverde preparing the Tour in Switzerland

Alejandro Valverde is completing his preparation for the Tour de France taking part in the Tour of Switzerland. The Swiss race started this afternoon with and 7.3 km individual time trial in the city of Lugano.

The Spanish rider achieved a time of 10’14”, which places him 31 seconds behind stage winner and first leader of the overall ranking  Slovakian Peter Sagan 

Tomorrow, first mountain stage with two hors category climbs: Simplon and Verbier, finish of the stage.
