Alejandro wins in Lac de Vassivières

Alejandro was the fastest ahead of Australian rider Simon Gerrans on the finishing line of the 3rd stage of Paris-Nice.

Thanks to time bonuses the Spaniard is now sixth overall, 20 seconds behind still leader Bradley Wiggins.

“I am so happy. This victory is very important. I have to thank my team-mates one more time for their fantastic job. I am satisfied I was able to win. My victory is for them. They deserve it”, declared Alejandro after the finish.
