GIRO DI SICILIA

Although October is just around the corner and the season does not have more than two weeks of competition left, Alejandro Valverde did not want to miss the final stretch of the year, proving once again his professionalism and passion for this sport, working hard to complete his recovery process on time after the crash of the last Vuelta a España.

The Movistar Team rider returns this Tuesday in the Giro di Sicilia, a four-day race that consists of two first days oriented to the fast men and two mountain finals stages, highlighting the broken profile on Friday with the ascents to Portella Mandrazzi and Sciara di Scorciavacca before the finish line in Mascali.

Valverde, who begins the Italian farewell tour to 2021, will share the Movistar Team with Antonio Pedrero, José Joaquín Rojas, Abner González, Einer Rubio, Marc Soler and Davide Villella.
