For the second consecutive year, Alejandro Valverde travels to Belgium to take part this Wednesday in the Dwaars Door Vlaanderen. It is a one-day race included in the World Tour calendar, with 183 kilometers between Roselaere and Waregem, facing some of the climbs and cobbled sections of the Ronde Van Vlaanderen.
Valverde raced already here one year ago. He attacked in one of these sections against riders with a long career in this kind of competitions. He resisted in the main group of favorites and finished in the eleventh place.
For the 2019 edition, the world champion will share the Movistar Team lineup with Jaime Castrillo, Imanol Erviti, Jurgen Roelandts, Lluís Mas, Nelson Oliveira and Jasha Sutterlin. The race can be followed live in Spain on Eurosport.
