One more week in Sierra Nevada
Good night!
The second week in the CARD of Sierra Nevada passed by very fast.
Now we completely adapted to altitude and because we are many riders of the team here it is absolutely not boring.
We train every morning and last Sunday we even climbed the pico Veleta. The weather was really nice, nothing compared with last week.
Afternoon means massage, ice baths, sauna and something really funny: we organized ping pong championships! It’s really nice. I like that!
Our families came during the week-end and we went to Granada for a walk. After that we had dinner in the old part of the city. It is beautiful there.
Next Saturday it will already be time to go back to Murcia.
You‘ll hear from me very soon.

In Sierra Nevada
Hello everybody!
We are currently in a training camp in Sierra Nevada. I am here with some team-mates.
Two weeks of tough training to prepare our next goals!
I am happy because I am feeling well. The first week is never easy because one has to cope with altitude. In the afternoon a good massage with Juan Carlos is very helpful to recover.
Some friends came during the week-end to train with us. It was just like being at home!
Last week the weather was really nice but on Sunday morning we had a real surprise when we woke up. It had been snowing the whole night through and the temperature reached only -2.5°C. So no training on the road yesterday! We stayed inside and just talked with our friends.
I wish you a good week!

The first part of my season is coming to an end
Hello!
After a week in which things did not exactly happened the way we would have like to, I am back home.
I will rest a few days with my family before I start again training hard to prepare the next goal of the season, the Tour de France.
In the Amstel and the Flèche Wallonne, my legs were not at 100%. In Liège on the contrary I was feeling very well and before starting the climb of La Redoute, I was there with the best riders.
But a crash, the bike change and after that the fact we were following the way showed by motorbikes which left the official course, were circumstances which obliged me to say goodbye to a good results last Sunday.
But I can say I am satisfied with my season till now. After such a long stop I am happy with the results I achieved since the beginning of the season.
And now, let’s focus on the next races!

At the Bando de la Huerta
It is almost time to prepare my luggage to go to Belgium. The Ardennes triptych will indeed start on Sunday on the occasion of the Amstel Gold Race.
After the Klasika Primavera I flew back home on Sunday afternoon and before going away again I wanted to share some activities with my family.
We went to see the parade of the ‘Bando de la Huerta’, a typical spring feast in Murcia which highlights the tradition of taking care of our gardens and took always place on Easter Tuesday. This year it was declared of international tourist interest.
More than 50 floats took part in the parade and we have a great time together.
And now let’s focus on the classics!

Thanks for the pictures!
Hello everybody,
The day after tomorrow I will compete again on the occasion of the Klasika Primavera. I am of course very motivated! I like that race a lot because of the Basque public which is always very numerous along the roads to support us and also because I already won three times in Amorebieta.
Last week and the previous one I stayed at home to recover. It was not easy at all. Incredible how long you need sometimes to recover from a crash.
Last Tuesday a TV crew from Canal+ came at home to interview me. Josean Redondo did the job for a program called ‘Espacio Reservado’. They will show it in about two weeks from now.
I also spent a lot of time looking at the pictures you sent me after I asked you to do so in Facebook. They are really beautiful and I like to watch them. It is a good way to know you a little bit more. They will all be published in this website so that you can see them all too. You can keep on sending then to valverdeprensa@gmail.com.
My webmaster informed me that it is very important to send only .JPG or.JPEG pictures otherwise it is not possible to publish them.
I wish you a Happy Easter,
Alejandro
